Kijani House

The Kijani Hotel in Lamu island has a great location on the beach harbour of Shela. Some 10 minutes walking to the vast expanse of Shela beach. Rooms are spacious and nicely decorated in Swahili style, with a nice balcony as well. The garden is pleasant with two nice pools and various seating areas with great views. As one of the few places in Lamu they have an alcohol license (together with the Peponi and the Floating Bar). The reception staff is very capable and helpful also via email and in person. They can arrange boat trips to Lamu city with guided tours and also sunset dhow cruises. Boat transfer from Manda airport works flawlessly.
