In order to apply precise and repeatable spring end forces through a ball or rounded nose, a device known as a ball and spring plunger is used to encapsulate a spring in a threaded capsule. Ball and spring plungers, also known as Spring Loaded Devices, play a crucial role in a wide variety of industries and applications due to their distinct set of properties, which include indexing, positioning, fixturing, latching, locking, ejecting, and making electrical contacts, to name just a few.

Hand Retractable Spring Plungers are precision machined from solid bar stock. The retractable plunger is hardened for greater side load strength in the extended position and is slightly tapered for easy alignment. All hand styles are easy to grip for fast one-handed operation. With a 90-degree turn of the handle, the locking types will lock the plunger in the retracted position.
