Despite the remote location – the route up from the main road is three hours on a rough and at times quite scary track – there is loads to do here – hiking and exploring for the active, village projects for the charitably minded, or just soaking up village life for those who want to experience Tanzanian Highland culture. There is a tailor in the village if you want to buy some fabric and have a dress or shirt rustled up in just a few hours.
