Lake Shore Lodge is the ultimate place to experience the magic of Lake Tanganyika.  Offering beautiful Chalets built right at the water’s edge, adventure activities, a relaxing spa and fine dining.

If you make the effort to come and visit the Lake, there are best accommodation possible, that is tailored around your budget.

With this ethos in mind, we offer three tiers of accommodation options.

Luxury Beach Chalets, chalets are right at the edge of Lake Tanganyika. The front doors open completely to give incredible views of the islands in front of the lodge. Each room has its own beach area and is en suite with a shower, toilet, vanity and dressing area.

Honeymoon Suite,wonderfully romantic, with a sunken bath, twin showers and a private dining deck at the water’s edge – careful, it’s catchy!

Lawn Bandas,with unimpeded views onto Lake Tanganyika, the Bandas are designed for the more budget conscious traveler. These rooms are not en suite. They have shared Zen-style bathrooms which are just behind the Bandas.

The Funky Mango Bar and Restaurant offers international cuisine. We pride ourselves in using only the freshest ingredients from local farmers and from our organic garden. Meals are served at the edge of the Lake under the stars, in our restaurant boat or in the main restaurant. Please let us know in advance if you have any special dietary requirements.
